The Agent Readiness Audit

Can an AI agent discover, understand, trust, and act on you?

Patients increasingly send agents to shortlist clinics before they ever appear themselves. An agent that cannot find your pricing, parse your services, or reach your booking flow moves on to a competitor it can act on. The Agent Readiness Audit is a scored audit of where you stand, from discoverability to action, with a clear remediation path.

Free quick check

Run an instant agent readiness check

Enter a clinic URL. We run the automated portion of the audit (41 of 100 points across discoverability, machine comprehension, trust, and actionability) and report the dimension breakdown in under thirty seconds. The full 100-point audit, with editorial dimensions and remediation, is delivered as a paid engagement.

What we measure

Five dimensions, scored 0 to 100

The audit follows the agent journey itself: find, understand, trust, act, verify. Each dimension carries a weight set by the friction it removes from the journey. Hidden pricing kills a comparison; a missing booking endpoint kills the action. The score makes that visible.

01

Discoverability 20 pts

Can an agent find you at all?

Whether your clinic appears in standard category queries across the major AI platforms, whether your robots.txt admits AI crawlers, and whether your branded queries return an accurate description. The most common zero is the premium clinic with no AI footprint at all.

02

Machine Comprehension 25 pts

Can an agent understand what you offer without a human reading the page?

Schema.org markup for medical entities, enumerable services rather than brand prose, transparent pricing or a structured machine-legible inquiry path, a plain-language FAQ at the questions agents actually ask. The two big agent dead ends in this category are hidden pricing with no structured way to enquire, and brand prose where services should be enumerated. Either path through this dimension is fine; agents need to either shortlist by budget, or submit a structured next-step request.

03

Trust Signals 20 pts

Would a cautious agent recommend you?

Named medical leadership with credentials on a crawlable page, accreditations stated and verifiable, consistent name-address-phone across the site and third-party sources, independent corroboration an AI can retrieve, and basic privacy and terms reachable.

04

Actionability 20 pts

Can an agent take the next step, or does the journey die at a contact form?

A booking or inquiry path that is machine-legible, a published response email that is text and not an image, stable descriptive URLs per service, and no JavaScript-only flows that break under a headless fetch. This is the dimension where almost no clinic scores full marks today, which is exactly why moving early here matters.

05

Verification Layer 15 pts

Is the information about you confirmed by anyone other than you?

Listed in a structured, machine-readable industry source with verified facts, and what AI platforms say about you matches what you say about yourself.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is agent readiness, and how is it different from SEO?

SEO optimizes you for humans typing queries into search boxes. Agent readiness optimizes you for AI assistants acting on behalf of patients: shortlisting clinics, comparing services, and taking next steps. The signals overlap but the priorities differ. An agent needs machine-parseable services, pricing or a structured inquiry path, and a clean reach-out flow; a human reader will tolerate brand prose where an agent will simply skip you.

How does the quick check work?

You enter a URL. Our worker fetches the page and evaluates 41 of the 100 audit points across discoverability, machine comprehension, trust, and actionability. You see a dimension-level breakdown of what we found, what we did not, and what an agent would do with each signal. It takes 15 to 30 seconds.

What does the full audit cover that the quick check does not?

Fifty-nine more points. AI-platform query presence across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Credential and accreditation verification against regulator databases. Service enumeration depth. FAQ quality assessment. Third-party corroboration in research, registries, and trade press. And the verification layer: how consistently AI platforms describe your clinic across queries. The quick check tells you if you have an obvious problem; the full audit tells you where the recoverable points are.

Will the audit affect my SEO rankings?

No. The audit is observational; we read your published site as an agent would. Nothing we do changes your site or its rankings. The remediation report may recommend changes that improve both SEO and agent readiness, but acting on those is entirely your call.

How long does the full audit take?

Five working days from kickoff. The automated checks complete within the first hour. The editorial dimensions (query presence, credential checks, fact consistency) take the remaining time. You receive the scored report, the dimension breakdown, and a structured remediation list as deliverables.

Do I need to engage Healthspan Economy to fix what you find?

No. The report is yours. Some clinics work with us through the Studio engagement to remediate; many use the report internally with their own team or a different agency. We do not gate remediation behind our services. The Studio is an option, not a requirement.

What if my clinic scores poorly? Will you publish that?

Never without your consent. Individual scores are private to the audited clinic. We publish aggregate patterns in our research (e.g. "47% of premium longevity clinics fail the pricing check"), but never an identified clinic score without explicit permission. Clinics that earn the verified status do so visibly inside our Atlas, by their own choice.

Why does hidden pricing hurt agent readiness?

An agent asked to shortlist clinics under a $20K budget cannot include you if you publish no pricing signal. It is not weighing your premium positioning against a competitor; you are simply absent from the comparison. The full audit rewards either published transparent pricing or a structured machine-legible inquiry path; the latter is a workable middle ground for clinics that genuinely cannot publish a band.

Do you apply this rubric to your own site?

Yes. We score Healthspan Economy against the same rubric, with the dimensions that apply to an editorial atlas (Trust signals like clinical NAP and Actionability like booking flows are calibrated for clinics, so they do not all transfer). You can run the scanner at the top of this page on healthspaneconomy.com and see for yourself what it finds and where the gaps are.
