The Agent Readiness Audit

Can an AI agent discover, understand, trust, and act on you?

Patients increasingly send agents to shortlist clinics before they ever appear themselves. An agent that cannot find your pricing, parse your services, or reach your booking flow moves on to a competitor it can act on. The Agent Readiness Audit is a scored audit of where you stand, from discoverability to action, with a clear remediation path.

What we measure

Five dimensions, scored 0 to 100

The audit follows the agent journey itself: find, understand, trust, act, verify. Each dimension carries a weight set by the friction it removes from the journey. Hidden pricing kills a comparison; a missing booking endpoint kills the action. The score makes that visible.

01

Discoverability 20 pts

Can an agent find you at all?

Whether your clinic appears in standard category queries across the major AI platforms, whether your robots.txt admits AI crawlers, and whether your branded queries return an accurate description. The most common zero is the premium clinic with no AI footprint at all.

02

Machine Comprehension 25 pts

Can an agent understand what you offer without a human reading the page?

Schema.org markup for medical entities, enumerable services rather than brand prose, discoverable pricing or price bands, a plain-language FAQ at the questions agents actually ask. The single biggest agent dead end in this category is hidden pricing. To an agent looking to shortlist clinics under a budget, you are not premium; you are null.

03

Trust Signals 20 pts

Would a cautious agent recommend you?

Named medical leadership with credentials on a crawlable page, accreditations stated and verifiable, consistent name-address-phone across the site and third-party sources, independent corroboration an AI can retrieve, and basic privacy and terms reachable.

04

Actionability 20 pts

Can an agent take the next step, or does the journey die at a contact form?

A booking or inquiry path that is machine-legible, a published response email that is text and not an image, stable descriptive URLs per service, and no JavaScript-only flows that break under a headless fetch. This is the dimension where almost no clinic scores full marks today, which is exactly why moving early here matters.

05

Verification Layer 15 pts

Is the information about you confirmed by anyone other than you?

Listed in a structured, machine-readable industry source with verified facts, and what AI platforms say about you matches what you say about yourself.

How the score reads

Four bands, with honest names

80 to 100

Agent-ready

Discoverable, comprehensible, actionable. Rare today.

55 to 79

Visible but mute

AI knows you exist; agents cannot act on you.

30 to 54

At risk

Patchy presence, likely misrepresented in AI answers.

0 to 29

Invisible

Agents recommend your competitors by default.

Proof, applied to ourselves

Healthspan Economy scored 74 / 100

We score our own properties against the same rubric, adapted where our entity type differs from a clinic. Scored June 2026, current band: Visible but mute. We publish the score and the gaps because the audit asks clinics to do the same.

The published rubric is calibrated for clinics. We score Healthspan Economy against the same five dimensions, adapted where our entity type as an editorial atlas differs from a clinical operator. Where a check does not apply, we mark it and explain.

DimensionScoreWhat the audit found
01 Discoverability 14 / 20 Robots.txt explicitly welcomes GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended. Sitemap and llms.txt live. Brand recognition in standard category queries is still developing.
02 Machine Comprehension 16 / 25 Schema.org Organization and FAQ markup in place. Services enumerated. Pricing not published, scored zero on that check on principle, the same way we score our clinic subjects.
03 Trust Signals 13 / 20 Named editorial director with bio. Privacy and terms reachable. Third-party corroboration is thin at this stage of the brand; will compound naturally as research is cited.
04 Actionability 18 / 20 Stable descriptive URLs, plain-text contact email, static rendering with no JavaScript-only flows. Inquiry form present and machine-legible.
05 Verification Layer 13 / 15 Canonical entry in the Atlas (self-reference). AI-platform-fact consistency variable at this stage; tracked monthly.

What we are fixing, in public

  • Publish Studio price bands by Q3 2026, removing the pricing zero.
  • Add a published company address to the footer, lifting the NAP score.
  • Track AI-platform fact consistency monthly and publish drift quarterly.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the Agent Readiness Audit?

A scored audit of whether an AI agent, acting on behalf of a prospective patient, can discover your clinic, understand what you offer, trust what it finds, and take a next step with you. It is scored 0 to 100 across five dimensions following the agent journey itself: discoverability, machine comprehension, trust signals, actionability, and verification.

How is this different from the AI Visibility Audit?

The AI Visibility Audit answers whether AI search systems cite your brand when patients ask the questions your prospective patients ask. The Agent Readiness Audit answers whether an AI agent, sent by a patient or by their personal AI assistant, can act on what it finds. Visibility is the front door; readiness is whether anyone can walk through it.

Why does this matter now?

Discovery is shifting from search to agents. Patients increasingly ask their personal AI assistant to shortlist clinics, compare assessment programs, or book a screening. An agent that cannot find your pricing, parse your services, or reach your booking flow simply moves on to a competitor it can act on. The window for being agent-ready before this becomes the default is now.

What do you publish about clinics you audit?

Nothing without consent. We score privately and share the report with the clinic. We publish aggregate patterns and self-audit Healthspan Economy itself publicly, but we never disclose another brand’s score without permission. Clinics that earn the verified status do so visibly inside our Atlas, by their own choice.

How long does an audit take?

The automated checks complete in minutes from a single URL. The full audit, including methodology validation and the structured remediation report, is delivered within five working days. Engagements are scoped individually; the audit itself has a fixed scope and a fixed delivery date.

What happens after the audit?

You get a clear report with the score, the dimension breakdown, the specific deductions, and a remediation path. If the path is something you want our help with, the Studio engagement takes you from there. If you prefer to fix it in-house, the report is yours to act on.
