The Atlas / Data

The master counts

Every number the Atlas of the Healthspan Economy reports about itself, in one place, computed at build from the records rather than typed. Each figure carries a note on how it is derived, so it can be checked against the record instead of taken on trust.

389
Organizations recorded Every published organization that is currently operating. Computed from getRecordedEntities: the published rows minus those classified defunct or announced but not yet open. Hold rows are dropped before this stage and never counted.
385
Organizations recorded, distinct parents The recorded organizations after subsidiaries and brands are grouped under their controlling organization, from recordedParentCount. It is lower than the raw recorded count by 4: that many recorded organizations are a subsidiary or brand of a parent already counted. The raw count answers how many records the Atlas holds; this answers how many independent organizations the field has.
44
Countries with one or more organizations Distinct countries with at least one organization in the geographic counted set, from getAllCountryStats. This is the same set the country and region pages are built from.
22
Countries with a country page Countries that clear the standalone-page threshold of five counted organizations, from getPublishableCountries. Countries below the threshold are counted on their region page instead of shipped as a thin URL.
7
Regions with a region page Continent-scale regions that clear the region-page threshold, from getPublishableRegions.
4
Pillars The four fixed categories of the healthspan economy the Atlas classifies against, from PILLARS.
34 28 with a provider
Modalities recorded Every modality write-up on record, from getAllModalities. The second figure counts modalities with at least one linked Atlas provider, from getProviders.
20 22 past
Events upcoming Events whose last day is today or later, from getEventCounts. The second figure is past editions, kept as a dated record. Status is derived from each event's date at build time, never hand-set.
201
Organizations that publish a price From price_published. The organization states a price on its own site, read as of the date on record (price_as_of).
92
Organizations that route to a quote instead of a price From price_published. The organization's own site routes to a quote or consultation instead of publishing a price. This is a recorded finding about how the organization sells, not a missing price.
71
Organizations verified to publish no price From price_published. The Atlas checked the organization's own site and recorded that no price is published there, with the page checked (price_source_url) and the date checked (price_as_of) kept on record. This is a verified finding, not an absence of data.
92
Organizations on hold Rows still under review, excluded from every public count. They are never emitted to the site data, so this figure is read from the build sidecar the transform writes (atlas_stats.json), not from the published records.
5
Organizations classified as defunct Organizations that have closed. They keep their entity page as a record but are excluded from the recorded count and every geographic count.

Most recent row verification The latest verified_date across all published records, from the data and never the build clock. It is the freshest single source check in the Atlas.

The Atlas is free to read and cite with attribution. How each record is verified, and the rules the Atlas binds itself to, are set out in the methodology and constitution.
