What two assistants said

On the evening of September 29, 2026, Healthspan Economy asked Perplexity and ChatGPT, both signed out, “Where are the longevity clinics in Panama?”

Perplexity said it was not seeing reliable Panama-based longevity clinics in its results. It then pointed to three clinics that it described as stem cell or regenerative operators in a medical tourism context. It named neither recorded operator.

ChatGPT named six. Livelong came first. Second was a regenerative medicine center whose own site offers a package called Follistatin Gene Therapy beside a stem cell program and an ozone program, under a heading that asks why visiting Panama is worth it. Most of the rest were regenerative clinics. It did not name Dr Effio.

Neither answer cited a directory. Each linked only to the clinics’ own websites, so the reader was handed a list with no record behind it, nothing that had checked any clinic against a stated standard. That is two answers on one evening, not a measurement. It is what a person asking that evening would have read.

What the atlas records

Both clear the scope rule on the methodology page: a real, named operator delivering care, screening, diagnostics or a structured preventive program to individuals. Each is described here as its own site describes it.

Livelong Clinic Panama calls itself a preventive and anti-aging medicine clinic, and gives its address in Torre A of The Panama Clinic. The services it lists are hormone balance, a cardiorespiratory assessment it calls CardioCoach, an AgeMeter biological age test and InBody body composition.

Dr Julio Effio is a cardiologist whose team offers what it calls precision and longevity medicine from Torre B of The Panama Clinic. Its site lists InBody, calorimetry and epigenetic testing, FibroScan and GLP-1 medication, framed around cardiometabolic health and preserving muscle.

Why the regenerative clinics are not here

Healthspan Economy read the Panama City stem cell and regenerative clinics in August 2026 and did not record them. The atlas does not judge whether a treatment works. It asks whether a clinician takes a measured baseline, reads it and sets a course. The clinics it read sell a treatment, and the assessment they describe decides who is a candidate for it.

That is a statement about this record’s boundary. It is not a judgment about any clinic’s care, and none of those clinics is named here for that reason.

Healthspan Economy has not read Panama’s own licensing rules, so this page says nothing about how Panama licenses a clinic. Above the national level there is no regulator to read.
